The Stripes is a corporate chain looking hotel that provides a good base for a trip to KL, its not the easiest to reach the MRT station and we actually found it easier to use grab (taxi) as a way to get about. Within an easy walk is laundry, coffee shop and few restaurants. Our booking included a drink and appetisers each evening and this was taken at the bar by the pool, the staff here were great and we usually stayed for a drink or 2 extra, I can imagine that the roof bar becomes a trendy place to be a nightfall. Something that can't be ignored is the awful façade brick design that leaves many rooms with restricted ambient light as if the window view is from a letter box. This said our room was a reasonable size for a city, with good walk in shower. There is also an in room safe.

Hotel is well located for navigating Kuala Lumpur. However, the rooms are very small, the shower leaked, the pool was not clean, paying for club upgrade is not worth it and we even had dirty pillow cases on our bed. Also the hotel itself is very tired and requires renovations.

Hotel stripes was a fantastic hotel in the heart of Kuala lumpur centrally located to so many restaurants shops and supermarkets. Mrt station is 7 minutes walk to get you around the city. Staff are amazing always smiling and ready to help, great location also for grab taxis. Breakfast was good cant fault it, eating area clean and food is good. I was on 19th floor views were really nice rooms are spacious and comfortable, shower is so powerful with hot water always. Rooftop bar and pool has a stunning view. Definitely would stay here again special thanks to bellboys especially 'motiram', housekeeping and reception staff you made my stay in KL A GREAT ONE

The staff are very friendly and helpful, making you feel welcome and cared for. The hotel's location is in a good area with the metro around the corner is convenient and makes it easy to explore the city. Moreover, there is a supermarket and several restaurants within walking distance, making it easy to enjoy local dishes and snacks. In short, the hotel offers a comfortable and welcoming experience with a convenient location and friendly staff.

The good: - new property - friendly staff - good location in the heart of hipster KL - easy to get a Grab - good value-for-money The not-so-good: - WiFi is very slow - breakfast is mediocre at best Verdict - we had a great stay and will return whenever we are in the city! I won’t bother to pay for the breakfast though, better choices and coffee around the hotel.
